Metta Skincare Intensive Replenishing Face Balm

Oh, sweet, sweet moisture. Let me tell you, I'm terrible at keeping up with my skincare. It's mildly embarrassing. Like, I want to be that girl with a skincare routine she sticks to like religion, but bruh, I'm not... yet. I've found a few skincare products over the years that I still use with some vague frequency, but I was missing something core to help me hold them all together: a moisturizer.

Yeeeah, kinda important. I love my eye oils and facial mists, but they're no replacement for a good moisturizer. I've used drug store brands and every sample I've gotten in my Petit Vour boxes, but nothing was quite working for me. I have skin that dries out quick on my cheeks, forehead, and jaw but becomes an oily, grimy mess on my nose. (You can learn more about that and how I manage it in my review of the Konjac Sponge Co. Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge!) Finding the right product for me hasn't been easy, but I think I did it! In my March Petit Vour box, I received a sample of Metta Skincare Intensive Replenishing Face Balm

Oh. My. God.

I don't want to exaggerate, but it's rather lit, my friends. This moisturizer is literally what I have been looking for. My skin is so much more radiant and full since I've been using it, and I feel fresh and beautiful. My info card from Petit Vour describes it as "a deeply hydrating vegan balm, formulated with rare East African shea butter, cold-pressed oils and botanical ingredients to help soften, moisturize, and promote skin suppleness."  I couldn't agree more with how hydrating it is, and that bit about promoting skin suppleness isn't all talk - it's legit.

The balm is a pretty honey peach color that I find absolutely gorgeous because I'm a sucker for yellows. It only makes sense a gorgeous product would make me gorgeous too, right? I coat my finger tip in the balm and dab it in halves on each of my cheeks, then I get one more finger tip worth that I speckle on my face. Then I rub it in! I make sure I focus more on framing my face and only doing a light layer on my nose. I feel like I'm not using much of the product, but I still get a full face coverage with it. I don't feel like I have a layer of frosting on my face or like I need to apply three times as much. It's honestly a dream.

I'm completely sold on this moisturizer from Metta Skincare. It's exactly what my skin needs and what I've been missing to help me develop my skincare routine.
